The Devil, COVID-19, and the Bride.
When the devil overplays his hand it’s an indicator something radical is about to happen and in this case, it’s THE RESURRECTION OF THE BRIDE IN POWER. Precedence for this is found in the crucifixion of Jesus. Satan was at work in the religious leaders of the day and had entered Judas to halt the kingdom advances. “For this purpose the son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil” (1 Jn. 3:8). He prayed ‘Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven’ and began releasing the kingdom – for God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” (Acts 10:38). He was taking territory back that belonged to our Father and he was a force multiplier! He anointed and sent out 12 and then 70 who did what he did – they went out preaching the kingdom of heaven was at hand, healing the sick, and casting out demons.
Stopping this advancing kingdom of heaven on earth was the devil’s objective, he was losing territory, and he was desperate. The suffering and death of Jesus was the devil’s attempt to stop this kingdom advance and he rejoiced for a brief moment. I’m sure we could imagine the demonic joy expressed, “We have killed the son, even God forsook him on the cross, did you not hear him crying out, ‘why have you forsaken me’? The son is dead, this is a new age for us!” This rejoicing by our enemy was brought to an abrupt halt when the BRIDEGROOM WAS RESURRECTED!
As with the 12 and the 70, our forerunners, we who have believed in Jesus have been given the commission to do the same by our resurrected King (see Mark 16:15-18; Matt. 28:18-20). We are His bride and body created to continue doing what He did and even greater things than Jesus did when He was advancing the kingdom of heaven on earth. If you don’t believe you as a Christian are able to do greater things than your Savior, read and believe His words in John 14:12. WE ARE ENTERING A SEASON OF GREATER THINGS.
There have been some advances in the kingdom on earth over the last 20 years despite division over the gifts of the Spirit in the body. As of late the kingdom advances are causing the devil serious concern as the bride is beginning to awake to her rightful authority and power she has been stripped of through deceiving spirits and their doctrines. The devil is not concerned about Christians believing in the omnipresence and omnipotence of God but when Christians begin assembling, fasting, and praying for the manifest presence of God and power of God that’s where the rubber meets the road and the bride shifts to a “let’s roll” posture.
With the presence of God manifesting a little here and a little there around the world and the supernatural gifts manifesting a little here and a little there in the bride there is no doubt the enemies plan is to shut down the kingdom advance. You must be able to read the spiritual landscape, hence COVID-19. The enemy knows there is power in the bride when she does not forsake the assembling together (Hebrews 10:23-25). He does not want us assembling in stadiums or churches to bring praise and adoration to our great God and King Jesus because it opens the heavens. It releases the kingdom on earth. He does not want Christians obeying their King’s command to “Go into all the world”. This is why COVID-19 is the devil’s desperate attempt to derail the momentum of the bride. Corona is Latin for “crown” and this is his crowning attempt where he has overplayed his hand. THE BRIDE WILL BE RESURRECTED IN POWER and that’s what Jesus was anointed with in Acts 10:38 to do what He did.
God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit AND with power! How much more do Christians need that anointing AND power. You don’t have it just because your “saved” or “born again” any more than Jesus did before He was anointed and filled. He was born “saved” never having to be saved. He was born “regenerated” never having to be regenerated. He was born spiritually alive never having to be “born again” but He needed to be filled and anointed with the Holy Spirit and Power. How much more do we need that to walk in the authority and power to do the things He did and fulfill all that He commanded us?
The great revivalist Charles Finney wrote, “The prevalence of wickedness is no evidence of all that there is not going to be a revival. That is often God’s time to work. When the enemy cometh in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard against him. Often, the first indication of revival, is the devil’s getting up something new in opposition.” THE DEVILS CROWN IS AWAKENING THE BRIDE TO TAKE HER CROWNS.
A Facebook friend of mine Judy Bowman posted, “Is anyone sensing how God is using what the enemy has brought for destruction to draw us closer to Him and to each other?” My response was, “Yes. The power is in houses of Acts. The overplaying of the enemy’s hand with this virus will give rise to many home churches which will bring forth revival and reformation outside the four walls of the church. The bride will arise and shine forsaking not the assembling together. Salt & Light will RISE! The overplaying of the enemy’s hand at the cross is a classic example!”

Undoing the Divorce Legacy
“When children, ages 3-8, of divorcing parents were placed in a “well-stocked playroom with two fully furnished dollhouses, puppets, drawing materials, toy guns and soldiers . . . almost all of the young children pushed the two dollhouses together and placed the mother and father dolls in the same bed” (Wallerstein, The Unexpected Legacy of Divorce: Report of a 25-Year Study, 4).
I believe God has wired all of us for family from the wombs in which we were knit together. It’s part of our DNA to love and be loved. Jesus affirmed the greatest commandment in which the Law and the Prophets depend – to love (Matt. 22:36-40). God has designed family to teach us about His kingdom and the roles that mom, dad, and our sibling’s play to teach us about Himself. No wonder why there is such an attack on marriage and family.
In the 25 year study I quoted above, the central discovery is “parental divorce impacts detrimentally the capacity to love and be loved within a lasting, committed relationship.” It attacks the very purpose we were born. Perhaps you see how strategic this attack has been – it’s an attack on God and the very purpose of His children. The good news is our God is a redeemer and blended families provide an opportunity to redeem what the enemy has stolen. Mother’s Day!
Friends, Happy Mother’s Day weekend! Sometimes special occasions like this can be really hard and trigger sad memories or remind us of a loss we’ve suffered.
Perhaps you don’t have a mom, you’ve lost a child, or have suffered at the hands of your mom who didn’t know how to love you the way you needed to be loved. If any of these things resonate with you, I pray that God will heal that place in your heart today. I also pray that He will give you His perspective, a higher view to see your circumstances and loss from. You see, He is a good good father and in ALL things, He always Wins! This means we win!
Pain is real, and I’m in no way diminishing that reality, but here’s another reality: God will meet you in the midst of your hurting if you’ll invite him in. He’s saying, “Come away with me and let me love you and show you who I really am. I may not be who they told you I was. I love you dearly and I have a plan for you – a plan to prosper you and give you a hope and a future.” Can you hear the Father’s heart beat over you?
Pain try’s to say you are stuck and you won’t be able to get out. Love tells you that you are victorious and you can do all things through God who strengthens you. May you break through this Mother’s Day weekend knowing that In the midst of hurting, you can still be victorious and celebrate this day as you have so much to be thankful for. There is beauty all around you if you look…it can start with looking at yourself in the mirror and seeing true beauty look right back at you. Happy victorious Mother’s Day friends!!

Sunday Morning
Before some of us head to church this morning to worship Jesus, before any of my friends have preached, taught, or shared from a traditional pulpit to a contemporary table (so that you know this is not specific in nature and more for the flock) I loftily wish apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers were immune from blind spots and Achilles heals. We all have them, but somehow we expect leadership to be more than human. When we do, our unrealistic expectations are a recipe
for disaster.
All leaders have feet of clay but even this does not justify our refusal to submit to authority, be teachable, receive, and ASSEMBLE together because God may just speak to you through the person sitting next to you or the one directing you to a parking space. Without LOVE you will forsake the assembling together of yourselves. So love well, forgive leadership, and look to the one whose heel has crushed the serpent’s head, Jesus Christ the righteous. Follow Him and love like Him because not only does love look like something, love has a name!
Walk This Way
This is the hour Papa wants you to arise with the authority you’ve always had that He gave Jesus and … EXERCISE IT! Then your light will shine, darkness will flee, and you will experience His kingdom manifest.
(Now that is a word, but what good is it if you are left with that alone. It’s like telling someone to be good without telling them about how by the power of the Spirit and modeling it for them).
Here’s how: get plugged into a community where you can learn how tofulfill Jesus command, “Preach, ‘the kingdom of heaven is at hand’, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons” (Mk. 10:7-8). These are the works of the ministry your church should be equipping you to operate in. If you are questioning whether these things are possible today, then ask God to help your unbelief and renounce the doctrinal lies you’ve believed. If you can’t find a community like that, message me. Your authority is REAL – walk this way!
